On behalf of the German Government, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) has been implementing projects to promote economic, ecological and social development in the Philippines for more than thirty years. I helped them with a couple of print projects.

BIMP-EAGA was launched in 1994 as a cooperation initiative by Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. The objective was to accelerate economic development in the four countries’ “focus areas” which, although geographically distant from their national capitals, are in strategic proximity to each other, in one of the world’s most resource-rich regions.

When the GIZ BIMP-EAGA Project ended in June 2011, the group needed a publication telling the story and achievements of the project, as well as thanking the people who made it a success. We put together the “BIMP-EAGA: A Memory Book” in a couple of months, and got it out to print just in time for their closing program.
