Philippine Journal of Urology
The Philippine Urological Association needed a website for sharing their research journal. I built them a website using the open-source platform Open Journal Systems.
Unfortunately, the journal plugins available for WordPress felt lacking in many aspects so I searched for other open-source solutions and finally settled on Open Journal Systems. As this was my first time to work on an online research journal, it was a great learning process not just with setting up OJS on my own cloud server, but also with the particular needs of publishing a scientific journal on the internet. I hope to find more opportunities in the future with these type of projects that benefit the scientific/academic communities, on top of my usual business clients.
