Working with the Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC) of Hawaii presented a meaningful opportunity to enhance their digital presence. As Hawaii's only agency accepting a large number of high-risk domestic violence cases, DVAC required a website that effectively communicated their essential services.
Utilizing their WordPress.com Creator plan, I cloned their site to staging, preserving their vital content while reimagining the presentation through Elementor Pro. This approach maintained continuity for users while allowing for significant design improvements.
I developed three homepage concepts based on existing content, with the selected design establishing the foundation for inner pages. The redesign better organizes information about DVAC's services, the people and the organization's history.

By implementing Elementor Pro, I delivered a modern, responsive design that effectively showcases DVAC's community involvement with government agencies and partner organizations. Post-launch, I added plugins to enhance security, site speed, and SEO performance.
The completed website now serves as a more effective platform for DVAC to connect with victims needing support while facilitating their educational outreach and community initiatives—ultimately supporting their mission to alleviate domestic abuse in Hawaii.
